Food Storage

Thanks to my sis-in-law, Melissa, I started thinking about my food storage again! Having food on hand makes dinner time run so much smoother. We try to maintain a 3 month supply of food we eat on a regular basis and then longer term supply of grains. But the key is using and rotating the food. So, welcome to my pantry. Here's the list I made of what I keep on hand and some of the menu items you can make with it. You'll need to spruce it up with a few items from the store, but that's easy to do on your weekly trip to the grocer!

Thank You for the food storage list. I've been thinking about this too. So this list comes in handy.

Man, you make me feel so much more prepared than I thought I was! The only thing I didn't have on the list was brown rice/instant rice, and tortellini. Although, it's easier to have food around when you don't have kids (confession)...
