1/2 cube of butter or margarine
1 c. Milk
1 c. Flour
1/2 t. Salt
1/4 t. Vanilla
Heat oven to 375. Melt butter in a 9x13 glass casserole dish in the oven while it warms (don't burn). Mix remaining ingredients until there are no lumps. Pour over melted butter in dish. Bake 20 minutes, until golden brown and large peaks form. Serve with jam and powdered sugar or with syrup.
